It's about stealing.
Great artists steal. It's Ok. It's actually a MASSIVE shortcut that is used in most of the arts.
Painters, writers, actors, and artists of all types benefit from this idea of stealing from those who preceeded them in their artform.
In drumming, taking a fully formed idea from a great drummer (in this case, a full-blown legend--John Bonham), is an incredibly powerful way to shortcut your progress.
Imagine how many hours Bonham worked on his craft and how hard he studied and practiced before he went into the studio to record Led Zeppelin IV, for example? I would guess that thousands of hours of work and practice were done before Bonham made that record.
So, when you take an idea from Bonham, it's simply a HUGE shortcut. All the pros use this concept to speed up their progress. It's a no-brainer.
And, beyond that....you can take another drummer's great piece of vocabulary (in this case, fill) and then mess around with it to come up with stuff that sounds like nobody else but....YOU.
This leads to something else extremely powerful that this course will show you: a system you to develop your very own unique sound.
